JIMMY CARTER: LEAVE THE WORLD ALONE
December 10, 2002

Jimmy Carter’s legacy was further tarnished by his acceptance of the Nobel Peace Prize today. Considering that his rest of his “legacy” consists of many dismal failures and that his best friends are our worst enemies, we’re pleading with Jimmy Carter to leave the world alone- once and forever.

Masquerading as a well-intentioned humanitarian, our x-president has a disturbing history of meddling in global affairs and leaving a wake of destructive failures of mind-blowing proportion and far-reaching implication. These are failures, by the way, that make his presidential double-digits (inflation, interest rates, and unemployment) look like wonderful achievements.

Inasmuch as Carter’s sabotage of America’s foreign policy efforts has relegated his pathetic presidency to one of his better successes, returning Jimmy to the (pea)nut farm may be necessary to stave off the end times until God’s timing for it kicks in.

Sure, he does it all with a smile… he’s seemingly sincere, a true peacemaker with a good heart. This is notwithstanding the fact that his “legacy” is hallmarked by the infamous Playboy interview in which he felt the need to share his having “lusted in [his] heart” with the world. Thanks Jimmy. Visuals of you and your lustful visions now dance around in my nightmares.

By the way, can a parallel be drawn between the hypocrisy of the “very religious” Jimmy Carter spilling his guts to a pornographic magazine and his claim that he “loves America” while habitually hob-nobbing with anti-American dictators, despots, and terrorists?

In possibly the most appalling U.S. foreign policy move ever, with devastating consequences, Carter demanded that the Shah of Iran relinquish power and capitulate to the Ayatollah Khomeini… a madman.

Post-Shah Iran ended up being ground zero for the rise of radical Islamic fundamentalism… thank you Jimmy Carter. Perhaps while soliciting advice about nuclear war from his teenage daughter Amy, he should have asked her about the dangers of inviting militant Muslims into a holy war.

Following the toppling of the Shah, Jimmy Carter proceeded to fumble at attempts to resolve the ransackage of our embassy in Tehran and the year-long hostage situation in which eight Americans died. Meanwhile, Russia attacks Afghanistan and Iraq attacks Iran. More die.

So, to what extent is complicity being insinuated here? Well, ushering in the Ayatollah by subverting the Shah of Iran created a catalyst for the advent of modern-day radical Islam.

This same modern-day radical Islam was complicit in countless terrorist attacks on American soil, not the least of which was the murder of thousands of Americans on September 11. Another great American legacy-hunter, President Clinton, Carteresquely stuck America’s tail between its legs in response to the attacks this country suffered on his watch.

Jimmy Carter’s “If we’re nice to them, maybe they won’t kill us” national defense strategy may be as disastrous as Clinton’s refusal to accept Sudan’s offer to hand over Osama bin Laden.

Clinton decided to let Osama thrive because “we had no basis on which to hold him, though we knew he wanted to commit crimes against America”. I guess it’ll take no less than a mushroom cloud over Tel Aviv for Jimmy to realize that he was wrong too.

It makes you wonder what Carter, or Clinton for that matter, would have done in response to the 9/11 attacks - apologized to Mohammed Atta’s parents for sticking the North Tower in the flight path of the plane their son was flying?

Before our actions in the Gulf War, Jimmy Carter chased success in his self-appointed role as “American Stonewaller-in-Chief”, by firing off petitions to members of the U.N. Security Council begging for opposition to our plans to liberate Kuwait. He was concerned that we would “de-stabilize” the unbelievably de-stabilized Mid-East and suffer through a long, drawn-out conflict akin to the War of Armageddon as described in the Bible.

We were, of course, able to win at “Armageddon” in only 3 days… and spent the rest of the week wondering why it took us that long. Typical liberal defeatism… if they can’t blame America because the event has yet to take place, then doubt her ability to succeed when it does. Think about it... it’s happening now.

Jimmy Carter recently blasted President Bush’s “axis of evil” statement. How dare Bush, while commanding the War on Terror, identify those that promote and harbor the resources and enablers of terror. Carter is apparently more fearful of rabbits attacking him while fishing than he is of nuclear weaponry in the hands of homicidal madmen who hate us.

Jimmy Carter, by the way, has been lambasting the President at virtually every turn since liberal Democrats began encouraging arbitrary opposition to this Republican administration once that ridiculous “national unity” thing wore off.

Following the Gulf War, Jimmy Carter felt that he could best contribute to world peace by flying to Saudi Arabia to assist Yassir Arafat in restoring funding programs for the Palestinian’s grand endeavors, like killing innocent Jewish citizenry. Yassir, the leader of the Fatah Party and the Al-Aqsa Murderers Brigade, has been ferociously pursuing Hitler’s “Number of Innocent Jews Killed” record for years.

Jimmy Carter, who once said “The intifida exposed the injustice Palestinians suffered…” and called Israeli Prime Minister Sharon “an international outlaw”, also ghostwrote a speech for Arafat in 1990 in an attempt to soften the terrorist’s public image. Perhaps these two Laureates can polish their Nobel Peace Prizes together. Hopefully, Arafat won’t rub it in Jimmy’s face that he won his prize by some means other than blasting Bush’s War on Terror.

One might ask: where does all the money come from that enables Jimmy to trot around the globe preventing the possibility of world peace?

Well, mere millions of it have come from Sultan Qaboss bin Said of Oman, Jordan, from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, from the United Arab Emirates, the Kuwait Fund for Economic Development, and Prince Moulay Hicham Ben Abdallah of Morocco … but you’d be hard-pressed to find contributions from Israeli sources.

Perhaps Jimmy Carter and Cynthia McKinney should join forces. This way, terrorist-sympathizing donors could conveniently write just one check.

Also, in March, 2002, Saudi Arabian Interior Minister Prince Nayef bin Abdul Aziz sent approximately $800,000 to the families of 155 Palestinian Murderers… excuse me… “Martyrs”. This occurred as Jimmy Carter was suggesting that the U.S. cut off aid to Israel if it continued the effort to defend itself by pursuing Palestinian terrorists in the West Bank.

North Korea has been competing with Cuba for the “Most Repressive Regime in the World” award for years. Naturally, therefore, Jimmy Carter seems to feel most comfortable vacationing there. I am having more trouble finding accounts of Jimmy Carter speaking out AGAINST tyrants who’s goal is the elimination of human rights than it is to find accounts of Carter kissing (with his lips) the same madmen and showering them with praise.

Not the least of these horrible tyrants is North Korea’s Kim Jong Il, whom Carter visited and, not surprisingly, greeted with a kiss. Under Kim Jong Il, living conditions would most likely be rejected by the NYC rat population and uncountable numbers of North Koreans are starving at any given moment.

Instead of striving to make progress in North Korea’s horrifying void of human rights, Jimmy Carter directed his efforts at attempting to assist them in their efforts to develop a successful nuclear weapons program.

Before Kim Jong Il, Jimmy gave a glowing review to Kim’s father, the brutal Stalinist dictator Kim Il Sung - “I find him to be vigorous, intelligent,… and in charge of the decisions about this country”. Also, threat-assessment expert Carter comforted U.S. intelligence experts with these words about North Korea: “I don’t see that they are an outlaw nation”. Phew… now we can sleep tight.

After betraying our ally, Taiwan, and establishing Communist China in control of both ends of the strategic Panama Canal, Jimmy Carter focused his WMD inspector expertise on one of his other vacation-spot favorites… the Caribbean paradise of Cuba.

Inasmuch as Cuba is one of most brutal regimes in world (according to Amnesty International and Human Rights Watch), Jimmy seems to be almost as comfortable vacationing there as he is in North Korea.

Even while articulating the fact that “these restraints are not the source of Cuba’s economic problems”, Carter demands that the U.S. stop oppressing Cuba by lifting the trade embargo. Can we chalk up his motivation to lift embargo then, to just his desire to see another Communist dictator flourish? The problem is that that question even has to be asked.

The U.S. State Department and the White House recently assessed that efforts were under way in Cuba to weaponize chemical and biological agents. Jimmy Carter, however, the day after this assessment was publicly announced in the American media, denied that such efforts were underway in his beloved vacation wonderland. How did he know? Well, Jimbo’s buddy, Cuba’s terrorist leader, Fidel Castro, had ensured Mr. Carter that no such effort existed, and that the White House was full of it. That’s all Jimmy needed.

Don’t email me with the number of houses Jimmy Carter has built or the number of third-world countries he’s littered with Carter Center operatives. There’s no doubt he’s done good… after all, we’re inundated with reports of humanitarian superheroism when Carter’s in the news (i.e. when he blasts the President’s War on Terror or vacations with one of his tyrannical Communist-leader friends).

So, sure… there’s a lot of truth in the statement: “Jimmy Carter’s done a lot of good”.

But how legitimate is that statement if the rest of the story is buried in the dark corners of the media in columns like this?

Here’s a question: Wasn’t even Mohammed Atta well-intentioned within the bounds of his own agenda?

Thank God for Ronald Reagan.
