What's New About This?

Senate Democrats
gained a Republican ally in their opposition to the President’s
tax cut plan: frequent Democratic collaborator Lincoln Chafee of Rhode
Island. Chafee and Sen. Dianne Feinstein, D-Calif., unveiled a proposal
that would block the reduction in the top income tax rate unless there
is a budget surplus. Chafee, Democrat along the lines of the idiot who
gave power back to the Democrats in the Senate last election frequently
strays from his party. He was one of only two Republicans who voted against
Bush's 2001 tax cut.
Would it surprise anyone if this jackass switched parties during the current
session of congress? It wouldn’t surprise me at all. With the mainstream
Republican Party redefining itself to accept moderation on some subjects
while standing firm on our basic principles it would seem that more and
more of the moderate Republicans from before the realignment are starting
to show their true colors, their closeted Democratic colors. As with anything
that needs maintenance, I guess we have to purge the rolls every now and
again. Now if we could only do it with the mainstream media, the “alphabet
media” as it were, we would all be better off.
Senator Lincoln Chafee (D-RI) is often found siding with the Democrats
when it comes down to critical votes in the Senate.
