| Prevent Truth Decay is a collaboration of concerned Americans whose collective purpose is to accomplish its namesake. Our efforts are designed to illuminate the truths rarely brought to light by the major media outlets (not to mention academia) vying for our attention. On a regular basis, we compile a pile of fair and thought-provoking political opinion, news, commentary, and dependable facts that we feel our visitors should be privy to. PTD contributors regularly supply a chunk of the content that ends up on this site and we comb the media (TV, radio, print, web, and smoke-signaled news from our out-of-reach correspondents) for the rest... and the best. Prevent Truth Decay is not affiliated with or strictly devoted to any political party. Isn't the ACLU "non-partisan"? Anyway, we are "non-partisan". Do not make the mistake of equating partisanship with divisivenes. To be sure, we certainly do not misinterpret non-partisanship for a lack of opinion. PTD realizes that partisanship, by nature, is not wrong. Intentional divisiveness and factually bankrupt rhetoric is wrong. Whether Republican, Libertarian, Democrat, Green Party, Conservative or Liberal, "partisans" have core ideological values that they honestly believe and truly hold dear. Prevent Truth Decay entertains thoughts, ideas, and debate from all legitimate and credible individuals or organizations. Whether right or wrong, liberal or conservative, true partisans do not capitulate to the values of others for "cool points", for political expediency, or for electoral votes. Prevent Truth Decay respects and encourages this mind-set. For example, PTD harbors respect for the Sen. Paul Wellstones (RIP) of the world... fringe left-winger, but a Senator who wasn't afraid to accept that label and wholeheartedly espouse its values. In our sincere oninion, Paul was more than mislead in his ideology, but he never acquiesced his values or hid behind a "moderate" (or any other fake) political mask. He knew and proudly admitted what he was. Likewise, we know and are proud to admit what we are: pursuants of the truth... unapologetically open-minded and truth-seeking conservatives. Over time, we've found that the more we open-mindedly search for the truth, the more conservative we find ourselves becoming. We respect those that disagree with our ideology, and we absolutely encourage educated, informed discussion and dissent. Prevent Truth Decay provides a quiver of facts and a pool of knowledge we hope you will find useful in defending the truth. We welcome any questions you have, arguments you pose, feedback you provide, or information you thankfully submit.
