NEWT WOULD BE GREAT, BUT CAN'T WIN

We need someone like Newt Gingrich at a time like this. Unfortunately, he's absolutely unelectable.

The problem was - he got an extra dose of demonization because he was too much of a threat to democrats (translation: too valuable to the country in a leadership role). The democrats have a way of laying on the spin to the point where lies become popularly accepted fact. Examples are:

Newt G. - evil ideologue
Global Warming - caused by SUV owners and the spread of capitalism
Hurricane Katrina - caused by Global Warming
Hurricane Katrina aftermath - botched by Bush
We weren't greeted as liberators in Iraq (we absolutely were)
The Iraqi populace doesn't want us there (they absolutely do)
The insurgency represents the population at large (they don't)
The Iraqi people don't want democracy, and won't put their lives and the lives of their children on the line for it (they did... twice)
