NBC Nightly News anchor Brian Williams on Wednesday evening falsely asserted that the "nuclear" option in the Senate would end "the use of the filibuster to block votes on judges used by both sides for years." In fact, Democratic use of the filibuster on multiple judicial nominees is unprecedented and Republicans have never employed it in a partisan effort to block a nominee who had majority support.
