On the eve of the U.S. election, China criticised the "Bush doctrine" of pre-emptive strikes, said the Iraq war has destroyed the global anti-terror coalition and blamed arrogance for problems dogging the United States around the world.

THE WISDOM OF WELCH (VOTER'S VERSION)

In five days, America votes not for its president, but for its leader. I make that distinction because rarely in American history has the occupant of the White House had such a burden of leadership to bear. We are in a war to protect our very way of life, and it is a brand new kind of war, with no foreseeable end and enemies as evil as they are invisible. And our economy--the engine of freedom and opportunity around the world--faces daunting challenges from within our borders and without. More...

KERRY STEPSON: 'BUSH IS A COKE HEAD'

NY Post: This campaign is ending just in time before someone gets hurt. John Kerry's stepson, Chris Heinz, 31, displayed his mother Teresa's famous lack of rhetorical restraint at a recent campaign event with a group of Wharton students. Philadelphia magazine reports: "Heinz accused Kerry's opponents - 'our enemies' - of making the race dirty. 'We didn't start out with negative ads calling George Bush a cokehead,' he said, before adding, 'I'll do it now.' Asked later about it, Heinz said, 'I have no evidence. He never sold me anything.'" Heinz also reminded writer Sasha Issenberg of Pat Buchanan by saying, "One of the things I've noticed is the Israel lobby - the treatment of Israel as the 51st state, sort of a swing state." Buchanan was blasted as an anti-Semite years ago when he cited Israel's "amen corner" in Congress. More...

IT'S ALL BUSH'S FAULT THAT WE DIDN'T INVADE IRAQ SOONER

U.S. intelligence agencies have obtained satellite photographs of truck convoys that were at several weapons sites in Iraq in the weeks before U.S. military operations were launched, defense officials said yesterday.

The photographs indicate that Iraq was moving arms and equipment from its known weapons sites, said officials who spoke on the condition of anonymity.

According to one official, the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency, known as NGA, "documented the movement of long convoys of trucks from various areas around Baghdad to the Syrian border." More...

CAN'T WE BEGIN COUNTING THESE NOW?

State election officials around the country said on Thursday that there had been a surge in early voting this year, with people lining up in numbers so large that some analysts predict that one-fifth of presidential ballots will be cast before Nov. 2.

The Kerry and Bush campaigns disagree about which side this early voting will help the most. But already, this trend is sharply altering the homestretch calculus of campaign strategists, affecting where candidates are sent and money is spent in the final days. And it has turned the get-out-the-vote drives that are usually reserved for the final hours of the campaign into a half-month marathon. More...

SECRETARY OF STATE BIDEN? NOT IF THE REDSKINS WIN.

THE man whose presidential ambitions were destroyed when he plagiarised Neil Kinnock is set to become America’s chief foreign policymaker if John Kerry is elected President next Tuesday.

Senator Joseph Biden of Delaware has been asked by Mr Kerry to become Secretary of State in a Democratic administration, according to Kerry campaign aides. Mr Biden, the leading Democrat on the Senate Foreign Relations Committee for the past four years, ran for President in 1988. His campaign ended abruptly when it was revealed that a key element of his stump speech had been lifted directly from Mr Kinnock’s general election speeches in 1987. More...

TERRORISTS FOR KERRYDWARDS

Leaders and supporters of the anti-U.S. insurgency say their attacks in recent weeks have a clear objective: The greater the violence, the greater the chances that President Bush will be defeated on Tuesday and the Americans will go home.

IF BUSH LOSES, THIS WILL BE WHY

PTD COMMENT > The administration doesn't seem to have a hold on issues that will negatively impact its reelection campaign. Between most Americans believing Bush is against stem cell research, and the perception that he's swiping all overtime pay benefits, and virtually no explanation for why tax cuts SHOULD go to those that pay the taxes, the campaign has created an uphill battle for itself in the form of insufficient answers to these misperceptions.

The Bush administration intends to seek about $70 billion in emergency funding for the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan early next year, pushing total war costs close to $225 billion since the invasion of Iraq early last year, Pentagon and congressional officials said yesterday.

That may not happen until early February, when President Bush submits his budget for fiscal 2006, assuming he wins reelection. More...

NBC NEWS: 'VANISHED' EXPLOSIVES WERE ALREADY GONE !!

From Drudge: NBCNEWS: CACHE OF EXPLOSIVES VANISHED FROM SITE IN IRAQ BEFORE TROOPS ARRIVED...

The NYTIMES urgently reported on Monday in an apprent October Surprise: The Iraqi interim government and the U.N. nuclear agency have warned the United States that nearly 380 tons of powerful conventional explosives are now missing from one of Iraq's most sensitive former military installations.

[The source behind the NYT story first went to CBSNEWS' 60 MINUTES last Wednesday, but the beleaguered network wasn't able to get the piece on the air as fast as the newspaper could print. Executive producer Jeff Fager hoped to break the story during a high-impact election eve broadcast of 60 MINS on October 31.]

Jumping on the TIMES exclusive, Dem presidential candidate John Kerry blasted the Bush administration for its failure to "guard those stockpiles."

"This is one of the great blunders of Iraq, one of the great blunders of this administration," Kerry said.

In an election week rush:

**ABCNEWS Mentioned The Iraq Explosives Depot At Least 4 Times
**CBSNEWS Mentioned The Iraq Explosives Depot At Least 7 Times
**MSNBC Mentioned The Iraq Explosives Depot At Least 37 Times
**CNN Mentioned The Iraq Explosives Depot At Least 50 Times

But tonight, NBCNEWS reported: The 380 tons of powerful conventional explosives were already missing back in April 10, 2003 -- when U.S. troops arrived at the installation south of Baghdad!

An NBCNEWS crew embedded with troops moved in to secure the Al-Qaqaa weapons facility on April 10, 2003, one day after the liberation of Iraq.

According to NBCNEWS, the HMX and RDX explosives were already missing when the American troops arrived.

"The U.S. Army was at the site one day after the liberation and the weapons were already gone," a top Republican blasted from Washington late Monday.

The International Atomic Energy Agency inspectors last saw the explosives in January 2003 when they took an inventory and placed fresh seals on the bunkers.

Dem vp hopeful John Edwards blasted Bush for not securing the explosives: "It is reckless and irresponsible to fail to protect and safeguard one of the largest weapons sites in the country. And by either ignoring these mistakes or being clueless about them, George Bush has failed. He has failed as our commander in chief; he has failed as president."

A senior Bush official e-mailed DRUDGE late Monday: "Let me get this straight, are Mr. Kerry and Mr. Edwards now saying we did not go into Iraq soon enough? We should have invaded and liberated Iraq sooner?"

Top Kerry adviser Joe Lockhart fired back Monday night: "In a shameless attempt to cover up its failure to secure 380 tons of highly explosive material in Iraq, the White House is desperately flailing in an effort to escape blame. Instead of distorting John Kerry’s words, the Bush campaign is now falsely and deliberately twisting the reports of journalists. It is the latest pathetic excuse from an administration that never admits a mistake, no matter how disastrous."

Why is the U.N. nuclear agency suddenly warning now that insurgents in Iraq may have obtained nearly 400 tons of missing explosives -- in early 2003?

NBCNEWS Jim Miklaszewski quoted one official: "Recent disagreements between the administration and the head of the International Atomic Energy Agency makes this announcement appear highly political." More...

HOW BUSH TREATS SENIOR CITIZENS (!)

I am a senior citizen.

During the Clinton Administration I had an extremely good and well paying job.

I took numerous vacations and had several vacation homes.

Since President Bush took office, I have watched my entire life change for the worse.

I lost my job.

I lost my two sons in that terrible Iraqi War.

I lost my homes.

DEMOCRATS SAY THE DARNDEST THINGS!!

"One way or the other, we are determined to deny Iraq the capacity
to develop weapons of mass destruction and the missiles to deliver them.
That is our bottom line." - President Clinton, Feb. 4, 1998

"If Saddam rejects peace and we have to use force, our purpose is
clear. We want to seriously diminish the threat posed by Iraq's weapons of
mass destruction program." - President Clinton, Feb. 17, 1998

"Iraq is a long way from [here], but what happens there matters a
great deal here. For the risks that the leaders of a rogue state will use
nuclear, chemical or biological weapons against us or our allies is the
greatest security threat we face." - Madeline Albright, Feb 18, 1998

"He will use those weapons of mass destruction again, as he has ten
times since 1983."- Sandy Berger, Clinton National Security Adviser, Feb, 18, 1998

"We urge you, after consulting with Congress, and consistent with
the U.S. Constitution and laws, to take necessary actions (including, if
appropriate, air and missile strikes on suspect Iraqi sites) to respond
effectively to the threat posed by Iraq's refusal to end its weapons of mass
destruction programs." - Letter to President Clinton, signed by Sens Carl Levin (D-MI), Tom
Daschle (D-SD), John Kerry ( D - MA)
, and others Oct. 9, 1998

"Saddam Hussein has been engaged in the development of weapons of
mass destruction technology which is a threat to countries in the region and
he has made a mockery of the weapons inspection process." - Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D, CA), Dec. 16, 1998

"Hussein has ... chosen to spend his money on building weapons of
mass destruction and palaces for his cronies." - Madeline Albright, Clinton Secretary of State, Nov. 10, 1999

"There is no doubt that .. Saddam Hussein has invigorated his
weapons programs. Reports indicate that biological, chemical and nuclear
programs continue apace and may be back to pre-Gulf War status. In addition,
Saddam continues to redefine delivery systems and is doubtless using the
cover of a licit missile program to develop longer-range missiles that will
threaten the United States and our allies." - Letter to President Bush, Signed by Sen. Bob Graham (D, FL,) and others, December 5, 2001

"We begin with the common belief that Saddam Hussein is a tyrant and
threat to the peace and stability of the region. He has ignored the mandate
of the United Nations and is building weapons of mass destruction and the
means of delivering them." - Sen. Carl Levin (D, MI), Sept. 19, 2002

"We know that he has stored secret supplies of biological and
chemical weapons throughout his country." - Al Gore, Sept. 23, 2002

"Iraq's search for weapons of mass destruction has proven impossible
to deter and we should assume that it will continue for as long as Saddam is
in power." - Al Gore, Sept. 23, 2002

"We have known for many years that Saddam Hussein is seeking and
developing weapons of mass destruction." - Sen. Ted Kennedy (D, MA), Sept. 27, 2002

"The last UN weapons inspectors left Iraq in October of 1998. We are
confident that Saddam Hussein retains some stockpiles of chemical and
biological weapons, and that he has since embarked on a crash course to
build up his chemical and biological warfare capabilities. Intelligence
reports indicate that he is seeking nuclear weapons...." - Sen. Robert Byrd (D, WV), Oct. 3, 2002

"I will be voting to give the President of the United States the
authority to use force-- if necessary-- to disarm Saddam Hussein because I
believe that a deadly arsenal of weapons of mass destruction in his hands is
a real and grave threat to our security." - Sen. John F. Kerry (D, MA), Oct. 9, 2002

"There is unmistakable evidence that Saddam Hussein is working
aggressively to develop nuclear weapons and will likely have nuclear weapons
within the next five years . We also should remember we have always
underestimated the progress Saddam has made in development of weapons of
mass destruction." - Sen. Jay Rockefeller (D, WV), Oct 10, 2002

"He has systematically violated, over the course of the past 11
years, every significant UN resolution that has demanded that he disarm and
destroy his chemical and biological weapons, and any nuclear capacity. This
he has refused to do."- Rep. Henry Waxman (D, CA), Oct. 10, 2002

"In the four years since the inspectors left, intelligence reports
show that Saddam Hussein has worked to rebuild his chemical and biological
weapon stock, his missile delivery capability, and his nuclear program. He
has also given aid, comfort, and sanctuary to terrorists, including al Qaeda
members. It is clear, however, that if left unchecked Saddam Hussein will
continue to increase his capacity to wage biological and chemical warfare,
and will keep trying to develop nuclear weapons." - Sen. Hillary Clinton (D, NY), Oct 10, 2002

"We are in possession of what I think to be compelling evidence that
Saddam Hussein has, and has had for a number of years, a developing capacity
for the production and storage of weapons of mass destruction." - Sen. Bob Graham (D, FL), Dec. 8, 2002

"Without question, we need to disarm Saddam Hussein. He is a brutal,
murderous dictator, leading an oppressive regime ... He presents a
particularly grievous threat because he is so consistently prone to
miscalculation .. And now he is miscalculating America's response to his
continued deceit and his consistent grasp for weapons of mass destruction...
So the threat of Saddam Hussein with weapons of mass destruction is real." - Sen. John F. Kerry (D, MA), Jan. 23. 2003

THE CASE FOR A NATIONAL ID SYSTEM WILL BE MADE

PTD COMMENT > With Al Gore whining about stolen elections, adding his voice to Jesse Jackson's to whine about nonexistent black voter intimidation, and every political lawyer in the country descending on Florida and other battleground states, one thing is certain: Election 2004 will provide the catalyst for a robust (and serious) discussion about the need for a National ID System. The debate made headway in the days following 9-11 and will intensify after Election 2004... a mess that will make Election 2000 look clean, organized, and uncontested. A National ID System will be promoted as the means by which web-based voting can be organized - via tight control on highly-encrypted personal IDs - one ID, one vote. We're not sure where this will eventually go, but the argument will be had... and it might prevail this time.

---

Former Vice President Al Gore on Sunday told blacks embittered by his narrow loss in the 2000 presidential election that "it doesn't have to be this way" and urged them to turn anger into energy at the polls.

"Don't turn it into angry acts or angry words," Gore said at one stop during a tour of mostly black churches. He also urged worshippers to take advantage of a state law that permits voting before Election Day, Nov. 2.

"Early voting is a good idea," he said. "You want to give them plenty of time to count all the votes." More...

ORLANDO SLANTINEL'S OBVIOUS CHOICE

Why do newspapers ENDORSE candidates? What would be the difference if CNN were to endorse (verbally and formally) Kerry or FoxNews Bush? Anyway, the Orlando Slantinel endorsed Kerry today... another package unwrapped in a pile of election year surprises...
SENTINEL'S COMMENTS
Four years ago, the Orlando Sentinel endorsed Republican George W. Bush for president based on our trust in him to unite America. We expected him to forge bipartisan solutions to problems while keeping this nation secure and fiscally sound.

This president has utterly failed to fulfill our expectations. We turn now to his Democratic challenger, Sen. John Kerry, with the belief that he is more likely to meet the hopes we once held for Mr. Bush.

Our choice was not dictated by partisanship. Already this election season, the Sentinel has endorsed Republican Mel Martinez for the U.S. Senate and four U.S. House Republicans. In 2002, we backed Republican Gov. Jeb Bush for re-election, repeating our endorsement of four years earlier. Indeed, it has been 40 years since the Sentinel endorsed a Democrat -- Lyndon Johnson -- for president.

But we cannot forget what we wrote in endorsing Mr. Bush in 2000: "The nation needs a leader who can bring people together, who can stand firm on principle but knows the art of compromise." Four years later, Mr. Bush presides over a bitterly divided Congress and nation. The unity following the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks -- the president's finest hour -- is a memory now. Mr. Bush's inflexibility has deepened the divide. More...

MUST BE THE KERRY "LIKEABILITY" FACTOR

EIGHT POLLS, Bush up in SEVEN... W has 3 pt average lead over Kerry...

WE CALL IT FLIP 'FLOPPING' MR. PRESIDENT

President Bush said Saturday that Sen. John Kerry must be suffering from "election amnesia" because he has forgotten that he once viewed Saddam Hussein as a threat to America.

After voting to authorize force against the former Iraqi leader, after calling it the right decision when the Bush administration sent troops into Iraq, Kerry now calls the conflict the "wrong war," Bush said.

"Sen. Kerry seems to have forgotten all that as his position has evolved during the course of the campaign," Bush said at the first stop on a hectic day of campaigning in a state critical for both campaigns. "You might call it election amnesia."

49 STATE LANDSLIDE ELECTION CONTESTING

PTD COMMENT > Don't believe the hype. The election will probably be close... but two things are certain: the election will be a mess, and will be heavily litigated. If Bush were to landslide Kerry in Modalesque style, Kerry's lawyers would still contest the election. We're not really going out on a limb by saying this. It's just the nature of Democrats.

IF Bush wins, does anyone truly believe that Kerry's legal team will quietly go back to ambulance chasing? There will be a fight. The size of the victory margin won't matter. That is, again, if Bush wins.

If he loses, he'll return to Texas to clear brush. And we'll miss a president to whom political power is not paramount.

IT MUST BE THE 402-2 VOTE AGAINST THE DRAFT

Pro-Kerry CNN.com scare article... no mention of the anti-draft vote OR the fact that only Democrats have proposed reinstating the Draft.

Although the direct impact is limited to males 18 to 25, assertions that the military draft may be reinstated has lent a dynamic to a presidential election already full of tense issues.

The issue has generated more debate in recent weeks, fueled by former Coalition Provisional Authority leader L. Paul Bremer's statement about insufficient troop levels in Iraq and a vote in Congress against a bill to reinstitute the draft.

Bill Cosby won cheers as he carried a serious message to the city's black community, urging parents to take up the responsibility of educating and raising their children. "It is not all right for your 15-year-old daughter to have a child," the comedian said Wednesday night. "I'm 67 years old. I'm not talking to you any different from a grandfather who would say, 'I wouldn't do that if I were you.'"

Cosby was warmly received by a crowd of about 2,400 people at North Division High School in Milwaukee's inner city.

He asked parents to talk with their children, spend time with them and encourage them to study hard and prevent teen pregnancy. He said parents shouldn't leave the responsibility of raising their children to television and CDs.

Crazy Jimmy's at it again, this time saying the Revolutionary War was an unnecessary war. Little Green Footballs has the damning "Hardball" transcript, from which I quote The Unnecessary President:

"Had the British Parliament been a little more sensitive to the colonial’s really legitimate complaints and requests the war could have been avoided completely, and of course now we would have been a free country now as is Canada and India and Australia, having gotten our independence in a nonviolent way."

ANOTHER TERESA HEINZ KRAZY QUOTE

From USA Today:
Q: You'd be different from Laura Bush?

A: Well, you know, I don't know Laura Bush. But she seems to be calm, and she has a sparkle in her eye, which is good. But I don't know that she's ever had a real job — I mean, since she's been grown up. So her experience and her validation comes from important things, but different things. And I'm older, and my validation of what I do and what I believe and my experience is a little bit bigger — because I'm older, and I've had different experiences. And it's not a criticism of her. It's just, you know, what life is about.

MAN GIVEN CRACK COCAINE TO REGISTER VOTERS ARRESTED IN OHIO

October 18, 2004

The Defiance County Sheriff's Office arrested Chad Staton, age 22, of Stratton Ave., Defiance, on a charge of False Registration, in Violation of Section 3599.11 of the Ohio Revised Code, a felony of the fifth degree.

The SheriffÕs Office alleges that Staton filled out over 100 voter registration forms that were fictitious. Staton was to be paid for each registration form that he could get citizens to fill out. However, Staton himself filled out the registrations and returned them to the woman who hired him from Toledo, Ohio. Deputies allege that Staton was paid crack cocaine for the falsified registrations.

Defiance Deputies along with Toledo Police Department detectives conducted a search warrant of a residence on Woodland in Toledo, believed to be the home of the woman who hired Staton to solicit voter registration. Officers confiscated drug paraphernalia along with voter registration forms from the home. The occupant of the home, Georgianne Pitts, age 41, advised law enforcement, along with Ohio B.C.I.&I., that she had been recruited by Thaddeus J. Jackson, II, of Cleveland, to obtain voter registrations. Pitts admitted to paying Staton crack cocaine for the registrations in lieu of money.

A business card provided by Pitts indicated that Jackson is the Assistant NVF Ohio Director of the NAACP National Voter Fund.

The initial complaint received by the Sheriff's Office came from the Defiance County Board of Elections. The Board had received the 100 plus registration forms from the Cuyahoga Board of Elections that had been submitted to the Cuyahoga Board by the NAACP National Voter Fund.

"I want my mommy" Army Reservists:

The Army is investigating reports that several members of a reservist supply unit in Iraq refused to go on a convoy mission the military said Friday. Relatives of the soldiers said the troops considered the mission too dangerous.

You have got to be kidding me. Granted, you are at risk over there on a daily basis but this is a voluntary army. How embarrassing it is, knowing what are veterans of prior conflicts, our fathers and grandfathers are feeling when they hear news like this. They have sacrificed life and limb going into battle already knowing the risks and the low life expectancy that was briefed to them prior to combat. Whether a reservist or an active duty soldier, you signed your name on the dotted line. You now fall under the jurisdiction of the UCMJ (Uniform Code of Military Justice). You gave up some constitutional rights and civil liberties to protect this country. If proven to be true after the investigation, every single soldier that refused a lawful or direct order should be court-marshaled to the fullest extent. Mission too dangerous? Not enough ammo? Haven't had a hot meal in a while?

When Richard Holbrook, Kerry's shadow secretary of state, went to Berlin in June in an attempt to grease the skids with Chancellor Gerhard Schroeder, he said that one of Kerrry's first actions would be to invite Schroeder and Jacques Chirac to the White House.
Schroeder reportedly laughed and said, "That's what I was afraid of."
He was afraid, that is, that Kerry would ask for help.
At least Schroeder was candid. Just recently, he elaborated more specifically by gesturing, "We won't send any German soldiers to Iraq, and that's where it's going to remain."
French foreign minister Michel Barnier noted that France had no plans to send troops "either now or later."

If Osama bin Laden ever buys a rap album, he'll probably start with a CD by KRS-ONE.

The hip-hop anarchist has declared his solidarity with al-Qaida by asserting that he and other African-Americans "cheered when 9-11 happened," reports the New York Daily News.

The rapper, real name Kris Parker, defiled the memory of those who died in the terrorist attacks as he spouted off at a recent New Yorker Festival panel discussion.

"I say that proudly," the Boogie Down Productions founder went on, insisting that, before the attack, security guards kept Blacks out of the World Trade Center "because of the way we talk and dress.

"So when the planes hit the building, we were like, 'Mmmm - justice.' "

The atrocity of 9-11 "doesn't affect us the hip-hop community," he said. "9-11 happened to them, not us," he added, explaining that by "them" he meant "the rich ... those who are oppressing us. RCA or BMG, Universal, the radio stations."

Parker also sneered at efforts by other rappers to get young people to vote.

"Voting in a corrupt society adds more corruption," he added. "America has to commit suicide if the world is to be a better place."

AN EXCERPT FROM CAMP KRAZY... I MEAN KERRY.

TERESA HEINZ KRAZY... ON THE STUMP:
Heinz Kerry singled out U.S. drug companies for gouging seniors, saying that if her husband were elected, he would lift the U.S. Food and Drug Administration ban on the importation of drugs from Canada.

“The president has said that you can’t trust the drugs coming in from Canada, well, there are a lot of things that you can’t trust,” Heinz Kerry said.

“If they (drug companies) want to keep the cost of drugs, up, let them,” she said. “We will play the market. That is what Americans do.”

She also criticized the commercial advertising of prescription drugs: “Personally, I think it creates a dilemma.”

It’s like cereal (advertising),” she said. “The more sugar, the more toys, the more kids want it.”

Heinz Kerry, who spoke in a humorous but rambling style, signed autographs after her 40-minute talk followed by a panel discussion of local supporters on the plight of the nation’s health under the Bush administration.

“I think it would be a great thing if we had a first lady like her,” said Renate Neumann, 65 and a Reno artist. “She is refreshing and honest. I like her better than her husband.”

Neumann said she liked that her English-born mother and Portuguese father raised Heinz Kerry in the African nation of Mozambique.

“I’m an immigrant, too, and I know many women don’t like her because of jealousy,” Neumann said. “She is wealthy and knowledgeable and all that. Buy you have to go beyond that and look at what effect she will have.”

Heinz Kerry’s call for health insurance for all children brightened the spirits of Aliena Anderson, 42, who said it gave her hope for the future. Both her and her husband lost jobs this year, losing their health insurance for their children.

“Having health care coverage for them now would immediately ease my mind,” Anderson said. “I’m looking forward to not having to worry about that in the future. It’s a very scary thing to not have insurance for them.”

Although Heinz Kerry took some questions from the audience, she did not speak to reporters after her talk because of a pending flight to Des Moines, Iowa, campaign officials said. She received standing ovations at the beginning and the end of her talk.

“If they cover the seniors citizens and children with the health plan, they will be doing something for this county that Bush never thought of doing,” said Barbara Stone, 65 of Reno.

Heinz Kerry ended with what she called “a highly effective” remedy for arthritis that drew laughter and some skepticism from the audience.

“You get some gin and get some white raisins — and only white raisins — and soak them in the gin for two weeks,” she said. “Then eat nine of the raisins a day.”

Sooner or later, the KRAZY comes out. - ptd

7. You have to be against capital punishment but support abortion on demand.

8. You have to believe that businesses create oppression and governments create prosperity.

9. You have to believe that hunters don't care about nature, but loony activists from Seattle do.

10. You have to believe that self-esteem is more important than actually doing something to earn it.

11. You have to believe the U.S. military, not evil, tyrannical regimes, start wars.

12. You have to believe the NRA is bad, because it supports certain parts of the Constitution, while the ACLU is good, because it supports certain parts of the constitution.

13. You have to believe that taxes are too low, but ATM fees are too high.

14. You have to believe that Margaret Sanger and Gloria Steinem are more important to American history than Thomas Jefferson, General Robert E. Lee or Thomas Edison.

15. You have to believe that standardized tests are racist, but racial quotas and set-asides are not.

16. You have to believe Hillary Clinton is all about "progress" and not power. She just wants to help us out of the archaic system of governing that we've been subjected to since our founding.

17. You have to believe that the only reason socialism hasn't worked anywhere it's been tried, is because the right people haven't been in charge.

18. You have to believe Republicans telling the truth belong in jail, but a cheat, liar and sex offender belongs in the White House and you would vote him back in there in a New York minute (if you could).

19. You have to believe that homosexual parades displaying drag, transvestites and beastiality should be constitutionally protected and manger scenes at Christmas should be illegal.

20. You have to believe that illegal Democrat Party funding by the Chinese is somehow in the best interest of the United States.

21. You have to believe that the vociferous minorities who protest against prayer and saluting the flag in school, the 10 commandments in court, have far more rights than the majority who believe in God and country and want these values to be instilled in our young children.

The Food and Drug Administration said Wednesday that Applied Digital Solutions of Delray Beach, Fla., could market the VeriChip, an implantable computer chip about the size of a grain of rice, for medical purposes.

The news pleased investors. On Wednesday, Applied Digital shares were up $1.45, or 68.4 percent, at $3.57 on the Nasdaq Stock Market - near the middle of their 52-week range of $1.94 to $5.

With the pinch of a syringe, the microchip is inserted under the skin in a procedure that takes less than 20 minutes and leaves no stitches. Silently and invisibly, the dormant chip stores a code that releases patient-specific information when a scanner passes over it. MORE...

Why Kerry?

Dear Person Voting for Bush, or Person on the Fence,

The thing that I would like to know, for those people who are deciding on voting for Kerry is why they are voting for him. And in their answer, if they can even give one, someone will always resort to criticizing Bush.

Are you going to vote for Kerry because he went to Vietnam? Okay thats very honorable that he served in war, but too often does he use that as a political tool. Kerry constantly aggrandizes himself concerning his service in the military when his own colleagues during the war denounce his "trials and tribulations". He makes himself sound better than he actually was. Okay, so they say that he received 3 purple hearts. Did you know that one of them was self-inflicted? Not that he literally shot himself in the foot, but after falling down and getting scraped or whatnot, he asked to please be sent back. C'mon!

But if your second answer to why you're voting for him is because "Bush was wrong in going to war", "Bin-Ladan attacked us!" or "Bush went in for oil" you need to really consider your sources. To begin, the Arabs/Iraqis do not hate us because of Bush, as some like to say. This hatred is very deep-seated and arises out of jealousy of our nation. When Bush Sr. made the boo-boo of pulling out of Iraqi many years ago, when Saddam Hussein was in power, because he thought that the Iraqi people could defend and stand up for themselves, Saddam back-fired and killed 35,000 of his own people with chemicals, immediately after. He would hang the women upside down when they had their periods, so that it would drip all the way down themselves. He raped and murdered women and children. Thenwhile Clinton was in office there was a bomb in the garage of the WTC and a US embassy in Africa was blown up. Clinton let it slide though (typical democrat). It wasnt until after the whole Monica Lewinsky scandal that he decided to pay attention to what was going on, because he wanted to get the attention offf of him and the scandal. So once Bush Jr. got into office and after 9/11 he knew that we needed to put an end to an on-going terrorist threat that was occurring. Osama was in Pakistan, which is considerably smaller than Iraq, if you know your geography. Bush said "If I cant find Osama, where should I look?" Well, for starters, he looked off of the intelligence that they received, which by the way was the same intelligence that Kerry looked off of. Kerry said "go ahead" (which was before he voted against it.) So we went into Iraq with UN inspectors. We asked Saddam 3 times: "Do you have weapons of mass destruction?" He said "no" all three times. We ended up finding mortar shells...I mean, it wasnt Hiroshima-type evidence of bombs but it was evidence notheless.

And do you know what angers me the most? The news stations, particularly ABC, NBC, CBS, and don’t forget CNN (or Clinton News Network, if you will) never show any of the positive outcomes of the war. They never show all of the women who can show their faces now, that can wear jeans...they dont talk about how the women and children aren't murdered and raped any longer. And people actually want to vote for a man that consults a country, like France, for permission to go to war?!? What the heck??So I end with still wondering what it is about Kerry that would make anyone want to vote for him. Also, while you're straining your brain and really asking yourself "Why am I voting for this guy?" also answer this other question for me: What did Kerry stand for in the senate for the past 20 years?".....jeopardy music...(humming)...oh you give up? Yeah that was a trick question…nobody knows.

P.S. Kerry has not one black person on his ticket or campaign, yet he goes to black caucuses and churches saying, “you were disenfranchised before, but you will be disenfranchised no longer!” Yeah okay…

STUDENTS BEWARE,,,,,,,

"Today, many American college campuses are dominated by the ideology of political correctness. According to the tenets of political correctness, the United States is the source of all the world's troubles, capitalism is evil, and people's biological heritage makes them either "oppressors" or "victims". Political correctness does not tolerate dissent, so students who disagree with the ideology are often punished. Tools like speech codes are used by school administrators to enforce thought conformity."

Filmmakers Evan Coyne Maloney, Stuart E. Browning and Blaine Greenberg are currently producing a feature-length documentary film (scheduled for release in 2005) exploring political correctness on college campuses. As an interim offering, the filmmakers have produced a 46-minute documentary film titled Brainwashing 101.
Brainwashing 101 is a provocative short film showing how universities use tools such as "speech codes" to force political views upon students. In this cutting exposé, documentary filmmakers Maloney, Browning and Greenberg shine a light on political correctness, academic bias, student censorship--even administrative cover-ups of death threats--at three schools: Bucknell University, the University of Tennessee at Knoxville and California Polytechnic State University (Cal Poly).

KERRY NO LONGER ALPHA MALE

ptd> Bush performed much better last night... much faster on his toes, fewer
uncomfortable moments of silence, and some hard-hitting retorts to Kerry's
smokescreens. He was, however, still on the ropes. He has to point out
that Kerry has the unique position of being able to second-guess EVERYTHING
he has done or is doing as President.

There were still to many missed opportunities for the President to pound
nails in Kerry's electoral casket. The truth is on the President's side,
Kerry has a dismal record on defense, and absolutely no congressional record
on healthcare in his 20 years on The Hill. The President should have shut
the door on the benefactor of John Heinz's money by now.

CNN SUGGESTS

President Bush headed into his second debate with John Kerry Friday night holding a sizable lead in the all-important race for electoral votes, but Kerry has made big gains this week in seven battleground states, a new CNN survey suggests.

SEAN PENN TO "TEAM AMERICA" CREATORS: "F*CK YOU"
**A DRUDGE REPORT Exclusive**

October 6, 2004

To Trey Parker and Matt Stone,

I remember a cordial hello when you guys were beginning to be famous guys around Hollywood at some party. I remember several times getting a few giggles out of your humor. I remember not being bothered as you traded on my name among others to appear witty, above it all, and likeable to your crowd. I never mind being of service, in satire and silliness.

I do mind when anybody who doesn't have a child, doesn't have a child at war, or isn't or won't be in harm's way themselves, is encouraging that there's "no shame in not voting" "if you don't know what you're talking about" (Mr. Stone) without mentioning the shame of not knowing what your talking about, and encouraging people to know. You guys are talented young guys but alas, primarily young guys. It's all well to joke about me or whomever you choose. Not so well, to encourage irresponsibility that will ultimately lead to the disembowelment, mutilation, exploitation, and death of innocent people throughout the world. The vote matters to them. No one's ignorance, indcluding a couple of hip cross-dressers, is an excuse.

All best, and a sincere fuck you,

Sean Penn

P.S. Take this as a personal invitation from me to you (you can ask Dennis Miller along for the ride as well) to escort you on a trip, which I took last Christmas. We'll fly to Amman, Jordan and I'll ride with you in a (?) 12 hours through the Sunni Triangle into Fallujah and Baghdad and I'll show you around. When we return, make all the fun you want.
QUESTION STILL REMAINS: WAS OPERATION IRAQI FREEDOM THE RIGHT THING TO DO? DEMOCRATS PLAY BOTH SIDES OF THIS FENCE, BUT THERE'S STILL ONLY ONE ANSWER.
With the release of the report on Iraq's weapons of mass destruction program, Republicans and Democrats used its conclusions Thursday to bolster their positions on the Iraq war.

CNN.com - Iraq WMD report enters political fray - Oct 7, 2004
DOES THIS STORY WARRANT STAYING UP ON CNN.COM'S HOMEPAGE AS A LEAD STORY FOR THREE DAYS?
All he wanted were the facts. But Dick Cheney ended up generating confusion-- and lots of it.

A slip of the tongue by the vice president during Tuesday night's debate with Sen. John Edwards led Web surfers to a site run by George Soros, a billionaire who makes no secret of his opposition to the Bush administration...
LESS THAN MEMORABLE MEETINGS WITH EDWARDS
Vice President Dick Cheney said Tuesday night that the debate with Democratic Sen. John Edwards marked the first time they had met. In fact, the two had met at least three times previously.
Cheney made the remark while accusing Edwards of frequent absences from Senate votes.

PTD > I'm OUT... forget this mess... too many "001 java.net.ConnectException:" errors with BLOGGER... what gives? If you have any ideas, email me at info@preventtruthdecay.com - would be much appreciated...

out...
Edwards OUTS Cheney's "gay daughter' to those conservatives that are now going "WHHHHHHHAT???!!!"
It all sounds good... Kerry and Edwards are experts at masking their true political identities... DC has done a good job at exposing the hideous face of their worldview tonight... Bush needs to be ON Friday - if his performance isn't commanding, it's going to hurt.
SENATOR KERRY... ALWAYS ON MESSAGE:
September 21, 2004
NBC'S TIM RUSSERT: "You said this about Howard Dean, and this is, I think, at the core of your candidacy against Howard Dean. '...those who believe we are not safer with [Saddam Hussein's] capture don't have the judgment to be President - or the credibility to be elected President.' As we speak this Sunday morning, Senator, do you believe that Howard Dean does not have the judgment to be president or the credibility to be elected president?" SEN. KERRY: "I think the judgment of a nominee who doesn't understand that having Saddam Hussein captured will make it extraordinarily difficult to be able to beat an incumbent wartime president who captured Saddam Hussein. And let me tell you why, Tim. Saddam Hussein took us to war once before. In that war, young Americans were killed. He went to war in order to take over the oil fields. It wasn't just an invasion of Kuwait. He was heading for the oil fields of Saudi Arabia. And that would have had a profound effect on the security of the United States. This is a man who has used weapons of mass destruction, unlike other people on this Earth today, not only against other people but against his own people. This is a man who tried to assassinate a former president of the United States, a man who lobbed 36 missiles into Israel in order to destabilize the Middle East, a man who is so capable of miscalculation that he even brought this war on himself. This is a man who, if he was left uncaptured, would have continued to be able to organize the Ba'athists. He would have continued to terrorize the people, just in their minds, because of 30 years of terror in Iraq."

(NBC's "Meet The Press," 1/11/04)
EDWARDS HOBBLES AWKWARDLY OUT FROM BEHIND WOODSHED

A few debate notes...

- Cheney is on message, on target... between-the-eye rebuttals to Edwards' weak left-wing yelling points...

- People will say "Cheney should be pres" tomorrow... (have they never seen BUSH unscripted before?)

- Edwards is right ... the American people DO "see it on the TV everyday" - we know what we're being shown in Iraq... it's HORRIBLE. So is the biased media that's showing it to us Senator.

- Why isn't Halliburton being addressed by the VP? Perhaps this is a better strategy? Don't dignify?

- Edwards keeps pressing Halliburton... DC is going to HAVE to address the no-bid contract crap... opportunity to put that BS to rest forever.

- VP points to www.factcheck.com to clear up Halliburton mess... site's down w/in two seconds - no surprise... they'll have to buy a few more servers @ FC.

- Edwards is starting to channel the suicide bombing victims from the Sbarro Pizza massacre... he's really laying it on... ambulance chasing sure honed his BS skills...

- Senator Gone. This is getting good. If Bush were half this good at debating, there would BE no Kerry/Edwards '04

- Chalk one up for Edwards with a littany of ostensibly bad votes on the behalf of DC... no response. Edwards' Senate record is as shallow and weak as standing water in a parking lot, but you should've defended your own record DC. Or could you?

Signing off ...

... can DC stand in for GWB on Friday?
HORRIBLE, JUST HORRIBLE
ptd> We do NOT endorse this comment by one of our contributors: "I wonder if he'll still vote for Kerry?"
ptd> We're quickly reaching the boiling point with the missed opportunities... Kerry's left the door WIDE open, time and time again, with little or no OFFICIAL spanking from the Bush/Cheney campaign - via paid ads, or, unfortunately, Bush in the first debate.

Sean Hannity's material today was MONEY... Kerry quotes... in his own words... one after another... the sky is blue... the sky is orange... Dean says we're no better w/ Saddam in captivity (can you believe Dean??!!!)... I say we're no better with Saddam in captivity (can you believe Bush???!!!)... it's ridiculous...

WHERE IS THIS STUFF IN THE MAINSTREAM??? (again... paid ads and debate quotes - a press conference perhaps... no one here is dreaming that we'll see this on NBC Nightly News next to the "ILIE" Bush graphic... but we're losing it here. Our minds that is.)
TAKE THE GLOBAL TEST
Welcome, World Leader. We understand that you'd like to undertake some type of foreign policy action. In the past, this would have involved a great deal of debate and diplomatic activity (not to mention bribery) in Paris, Brussels, and on the west bank of the East River. In the interest of streamlined world government, we've developed this simple test, which should take no more than a few minutes to fill out, to get you quickly on to your next foreign adventure, should it meet all reasonable criteria for peace and international justice. Take the Global Test...
IS BROKAW TALKING ABOUT THE MEMO? I'M CONFUSED.
While acknowledging mistakes in CBS anchor Dan Rather's "60 Minutes" report that questioned President Bush (news - web sites)'s service in the National Guard, competing news anchors Tom Brokaw and Peter Jennings offered support Saturday for the beleaguered newsman.

Brokaw blasted what he called an attempt to "demonize" CBS and Rather on the Internet, where complaints about the report first surfaced. He said the criticism "goes well beyond any factual information."
KERRY v. KERRY

Senator Summit's Ten Debate Flip Flops

ONE: Claimed "I'll Never Give A Veto To Any Country Over Our Security." (Sen. John Kerry, First Presidential Debate, Miami, FL, 9/30/04)

Preemption Must Pass "Global Test" First. "No president, though all of American history, has ever ceded, and nor would I, the right to preempt in any way necessary to protect the United States of America. But if and when you do it, Jim, you have to do it in a way that passes the test, that passes the global test where your countrymen, your people understand fully why you're doing what you're doing and you can prove to the world that you did it for legitimate reasons." (Sen. John Kerry, First Presidential Debate, Miami, FL, 9/30/04)
Kerry Would Wait On French And Russians To Defend America. SEN. JOHN KERRY: "I would have done what was necessary to know that you had exhausted the available remedies with the French and the Russians." (MSNBC's "Hardball," 10/20/03)

TWO: Claimed "Reason For Going To War Was Weapons Of Mass Destruction, Not The Removal Of Saddam Hussein." (Sen. John Kerry, First Presidential Debate, Miami, FL, 9/30/04)

Kerry Said "Greatest Threat" Was Saddam's "Miscalculation," Not "Actual" WMDs. KERRY: "I would disagree with John McCain that it's the actual weapons of mass destruction he may use against us, it's what he may do in another invasion of Kuwait or in a miscalculation about the Kurds or a miscalculation about Iran or particularly Israel. Those are the things that - that I think present the greatest danger. He may even miscalculate and slide these weapons off to terrorist groups to invite them to be a surrogate to use them against the United States. It's the miscalculation that poses the greatest threat." (CBS' "Face The Nation," 9/15/02)

THREE: Claimed "This President Has Made, I Regret To Say, A Colossal Error Of Judgment. And Judgment Is What We Look For In The President Of The United States Of America." (Sen. John Kerry, First Presidential Debate, Miami, FL, 9/30/04)

Kerry Questioned Judgment Of Those Claiming Saddam's Capture Didn't Help U.S. Security. "Those who doubted whether Iraq or the world would be better off without Saddam Hussein and those who believe today that we are not safer with his capture don't have the judgment to be president or the credibility to be elected president." (CNN's "Capital Gang," 12/20/03; Anne Q. Hoy, "Dean Faces More Criticism," [New York] Newsday, 12/17/03)

FOUR: Complained "We Are 90 Percent Of The Casualties And 90 Percent Of The Cost: $200 Billion - $200 Billion That Could Have Been Used For Health Care, For Schools, For Construction, For Prescription Drugs For Seniors, And It's In Iraq." (Sen. John Kerry, First Presidential Debate, Miami, FL, 9/30/04)

Kerry Pledged To Fund Reconstruction With "Whatever Number" Of Dollars It Took. NBC'S TIM RUSSERT: "Do you believe that we should reduce funding that we are now providing for the operation in Iraq?" SEN. JOHN KERRY: "No. I think we should increase it." RUSSERT: "Increase funding?" KERRY: "Yes." RUSSERT: "By how much?" KERRY: "By whatever number of billions of dollars it takes to win. It is critical that the United States of America be successful in Iraq, Tim." (NBC's "Meet The Press," 8/31/03)

FIVE: Claimed "You Don't Send Troops To War Without The Body Armor That They Need." (Sen. John Kerry, First Presidential Debate, Miami, FL, 9/30/04)

Kerry Said It Would Be Reckless And "Irresponsible" To Vote Against Funding For Troops. LOS ANGELES TIMES' DOYLE McMANUS: "If that amendment does not pass, will you then vote against the $87 billion?" KERRY: "I don't think any United States senator is going to abandon our troops and recklessly leave Iraq to whatever follows as a result of simply cutting and running. That's irresponsible. What is responsible is for the administration to do this properly now. And I am laying out the way in which the administration could unite the American people, could bring other countries to the table, and I think could give the American people a sense that they're on the right track. There's a way to do this properly. But I don't think anyone in the Congress is going to not give our troops ammunition, not give our troops the ability to be able to defend themselves. We're not going to cut and run and not do the job." (CBS' "Face The Nation," 9/14/03)
Kerry Voted Against Senate Passage Of Iraq/Afghanistan Reconstruction Package That Included "Money For Body Armor For Soldiers." (S. 1689, CQ Vote #400: Passed 87-12: R 50-0; D 37-11; I 0-1, 10/17/03, Kerry Voted Nay; "Highlights Of Iraq, Afghanistan Measures," The Associated Press, 10/17/03)
'"I Actually Did Vote For The $87 Billion Before I Voted Against It,' [Kerry] Said."(Glen Johnson, "Kerry Blasts Bush On Protecting Troops," The Boston Globe, 3/17/04)

SIX: Said Americans In Iraq Not Dying For "Mistake." PBS' JIM LEHRER: "Are Americans now dying in Iraq for a mistake?" KERRY: "No, and they don't have to, providing we have the leadership that we put - that I'm offering." (Sen. John Kerry, First Presidential Debate, Miami, FL, 9/30/04)

Earlier In Debate, Kerry Called Iraq War "Mistake." "We can't leave a failed Iraq. But that doesn't mean it wasn't a mistake of judgment to go there and take the focus off of Osama bin Laden. It was." (Sen. John Kerry, First Presidential Debate, Miami, FL, 9/30/04)
"But The President Made A Mistake In Invading Iraq." (Sen. John Kerry, First Presidential Debate, Miami, FL, 9/30/04)

SEVEN: Said Knowing What He Knows Now, "Would Not" Have Authorized Use Of Force. "What I think troubles a lot of people in our country is that the president has just sort of described one kind of mistake. But what he has said is that, even knowing there were no weapons of mass destruction, even knowing there was no imminent threat, even knowing there was no connection with al Qaeda, he would still have done everything the same way. Those are his words. Now, I would not." (Sen. John Kerry, First Presidential Debate, Miami, FL, 9/30/04)

Said Knowing What He Knows Now, "Would Have Voted For The Authority." SEN. JOHN KERRY: "Yes, I would have voted for the authority. I believe it's the right authority for a president to have. But I would have used that authority as I have said throughout this campaign, effectively. I would have done this very differently from the way President Bush has." (CNN's "Inside Politics," 8/9/04)

EIGHT: Claimed "The President Says That I'm Denigrating These Troops. I Have Nothing But Respect For The British, Tony Blair, And For What They've Been Willing To Do." (Sen. John Kerry, First Presidential Debate, Miami, FL, 9/30/04)

Kerry Dismissed Coalition Partners As "Window Dressing" And Claimed They're Not Sharing Burden Of War And Reconstruction. CNN'S BILL HEMMER: "The White House would say that dozens of countries are helping now in the effort on the ground in Iraq and they are engaged with the U.N., as well, how would more international involvement prevent the violence we're seeing today?" SEN. JOHN KERRY: "Well, the fact is that those countries are really window dressing to the greatest degree. And they weren't there in the beginning when we went in, and they're not carrying the cost of this war." (CNN's "American Morning," 3/2/04)

NINE: Claimed "I've Had One Position, One Consistent Position, That Saddam Hussein Was A Threat." (Sen. John Kerry, First Presidential Debate, Miami, FL, 9/30/04)

Kerry Said, "We Now Know That Iraq Had No Weapons Of Mass Destruction, And Posed No Imminent Threat To Our Security." (Sen. John Kerry, Remarks At New York University, New York, NY, 9/20/04)

TEN: Claimed "My Position Has Been Consistent: Saddam Hussein Is A Threat. He Needed To Be Disarmed." (Sen. John Kerry, First Presidential Debate, Miami, FL, 9/30/04)

"Saying There Are Weapons Of Mass Destruction In Iraq Doesn't Make It So." (Sen. John Kerry, Remarks To Democrat National Convention, Boston, MA, 7/29/04)
"I Have Always Said We May Yet Even Find Weapons Of Mass Destruction." (Fox News' "Fox News Sunday," 12/14/03)

JOHN KERRY'S PUMMELING OF BUSH LAST NIGHT IS BEING BLOWN AWAY BY THIS.
LYING LIES AND THE LIAR THAT IS KERRY
KERRY CLAIMS HE'S "NEVER, EVER" USED WORD "LYING" IN REFERENCE TO PRESIDENT BUSH ON IRAQ. JIM LEHRER: "New question, Senator Kerry. Two minutes. You've repeatedly accused President Bush, not here tonight but elsewhere before, of not telling the truth about Iraq. Essentially, of lying to the American people about Iraq. Give us some examples of what you consider to be his not telling the truth." SEN. KERRY: "Well, I've never, ever used the harshest word as you just did." (Sen. John Kerry, First Presidential Debate, Miami, FL, 9/30/04)

BUT IN DECEMBER 2003, KERRY TOLD NEW HAMPSHIRE EDITORIAL BOARD BUSH "LIED" ABOUT REASON FOR GOING TO WAR IN IRAQ. "Kerry also told a New Hampshire newspaper editorial board Friday that Bush had 'lied' about his reasons for going to war in Iraq, a word Kerry has been reluctant to use publicly for months. Yesterday he said he did not plan to use the word again." (Patrick Healy, "Kerry Camp Lowers N.H. Expectations Behind In Polls, Senator Now Seeks Spot In 'Top Two,'" The Boston Globe, 12/8/03)

AND IN SEPTEMBER 2003, KERRY SAID BUSH ADMINISTRATION "LIED" AND "MISLED." "This administration has lied to us. They have misled us. And they have broken their promises to us. The president promised to the people and the Congress that he would build an international coalition, respect the United Nations' process and only go to war as a last resort. I will tell you that from my war fighting experience, I believe there is a test for a president as to how you go to war. And that test is whether or not you can look in the eyes of parents and say to them, 'I did everything possible to avoid the loss of your son and daughter, but we had no other choice in order to protect the security of our nation,' and I know this president fails that test in Iraq." (Sen. John Kerry, Campaign Event, Claremont, NH, 9/20/03)

BUSH NEEDS A COMEBACK
PTD COMMENT > W. left a lot on the table last night. Round One: Kerry. That's the consensus. Across the board. Kerry put Bush away last night, but by and large, Bush voters are still Bush voters. Will that hold true if Bush bombs the next debates? If he doesn't pick up his performance in debates II and III, we'll be watching W. give his concession speech on Nov. 3.

Wait, you say, elections are litigated for 1-4 weeks after the elections 'results' are finalized. No, ... that's only when a Democrat loses.

CBS NEWS: IT'S TRUE, ALL CONSERVATIVES HAVE JUMPED OUR SHIP!
PTD COMMENT > Kerry looked more presidential than most people thought he would... he limited waffles to a few... was very confident, and not orange. Chalk a few up for him. Bush seemed a bit defensive on a number of questions, paused a lot, sighed a bit (can you blame him?), but all in all, is polling well for being "more believable" (can you blame them?), more "trustworthy", and still the prefered man for the Commander in Chief role...

So with most polls - CNN, Gallup, ABCNews, showing Kerry with a slight lead (in perceptions of who won the debate)... ties, 2 points, 5 points, etc... THE POLL ON CBS News has Kerry winning the debate 90% to Bush's 9%.

I guess ALL Republicans have abandoned CBS News. Good.
